The Three Electronic Studies were preliminary studies in techniques of electronic music. The first is based entirely on concrete sounds and uses the music of airplanes, wind and matches. The second is based on a rather unecessarily complicated MAX patch, and the third is based almost entirely on the sounds generated from a studio recording of actor Brian Sgambati reciting the names of the fathers of Western Philosophy.
