Czech violinist Hana Kotkova will give the premiere of a new work for solo violin, Erinnerung, at New York's Bohemian National Hall on April 15. Meanwhile, flute superstar Sarah Carrier is taking Parkway Music to Holland where it will be performed at Gaudeamus Music Week.

On the East Coast, Helix!, the new music ensemble of Rutgers University performed Cantiga and Slow Movement for Cello and Piano in New Brunswick and Philadephia. Paul Hoffman was integral in putting these performances together. Listen to the performance of Cantiga below.
Todd is currently seeking funding for Appeal for Identification, a large-scale music/theater piece about migration. In developing this work, Todd spent five months researching unidentified bodies in New Delhi.
Other recent compositions include a new work for Pierrot ensemble; a small piece for chamber orchestra titled A Song for Dessa, with apologies to Aaron and Charles; Fantasia sopra "Nina" for guitar quartet tuned in quarter-tones, and Dialogue and Dance, two movements for guitar and mandolin tuned in quarter-tones. Future performances will be at New York's Institute and Festival for Contemporary Performance at Mannes College.
Todd's article "Wayfinding in John Luther Adams's for Lou Harrison was recently published in Perspectives of New Music. A more general introductory article is scheduled to appear in the edited volume "The Music of John Luther Adams," forthcoming from University Press of New England in 2011.
Currently, Todd is an adjunct assistant professor of music at Columbia University.
