Meanwhile on the East Coast, Helix!, the new music ensemble of Rutgers University performed Cantiga and Slow Movement for Cello and Piano in New Brunswick and Philadephia.

At last summer's June in Buffalo festival, the New York New Music Ensemble was possessed by the spirits of Haziri. You can hear their sparkling performance here.




Other recent compositions include Fragments from "The Wanderer", a fifteen-minute setting of the Anglo-Saxon text based on recordings of the wind taken around the globe and scored for soprano and nine - thirteen instruments, Erinnerung for solo violin and Dialogues and Dances, four movements for quarter-tone guitar and mandolin.

Currently, Todd is seeking sponsorship for his latest project, a work about the bog people of Northern Europe.

Todd's article "Wayfinding in John Luther Adams's for Lou Harrison will be published in the current issue of Perspectives of New Music. A more general introductory article is scheduled to appear in the edited volume "The Music of John Luther Adams," forthcoming from University Press of New England in 2011.

This fall will find Todd living and composing in New Delhi.
